Ulm is a small university town (120.000 people) in southern Germany located at the Danube River between Munich and Stuttgart. It hosts the church with the tallest steeple in the world and is the birthplace of Albert Einstein.
Ulm University is the youngest University in the state, the one that is located highest in Germany, and ranked 3rd in Germany of all „golden age“ universities.

Internationales Donaufest
The International Donaufest is a cultural festival where people from all countries of the Danube region get together for 10 days in Ulm. Expect an extensive programme of concerts, exhibitions, discussions… and of course culinary delights from all Danube countries at the market along the river.
Ulmer Münster
The Ulmer Münster is the tallest church in the world, with a steeple measuring 161.5 m. Come to climb the 768 steps that led to the top of the minster’s spire, and you will admire a breathtaking view on the Alpes.
Neuschwanstein Castle
At only 1,5h by car (130 km) and 2,5h by train, visit the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Called “the castle of the fairy-tale king”, the castle could not be in a more idyllic area, surrounded by the Alpes.
Blautopf
From Ulm: 10 min by car or train and 20 min by bike (along a nice bike path), visit the lovely Swabian village Blaubeuren and its spring, the Blautopf!
